The Blushing Hills that was inscribed on the balloon was derived from a series of conversations the artist undertook with local people during the research phase of the Ground Up Project. The Blushing Hills describes the hills in County Clare during the season when the heather plant is in full bloom and give these hills a reddish/purple hue.
